Creative Spaces Retreat - Nov 3-5, 2023
We welcome women ages 13 and up to join us for a celebration of creativity! Hear from our keynote speaker
about how God weaves our world and how we can enhance our lives through the arts. Come learn a new craft, hone your skills, or bring projects from home that you might need some inspiration to complete!
Debbie was raised in the world of arts and crafts, as her parents were the general managers of a major craft and toy store chain in the San Francisco Bay Area during the 60’s and 70’s. Her first public craft demo was at the age of nine when she demonstrated a manufacturer’s new product – instant papier-mâché. As a teen she learned and taught just about every art form, from the yarn arts, such as knitting, crochet, tatting, and macrame’, to dress and costume design, to the drawing and painting arts. At age seventeen she was hired for her first seamstress job, which became her profession for the next forty years. On her twenty-first birthday, her mama gave her a cake decorating kit, and she fell in love with cake artistry and has made hundreds of specialty cakes. But, her main passion is writing and illustrating children’s Bible materials, especially Bible curriculum for Sunday School and Children’s Church ministries. She loves God’s Word and desires to teach it to both children and women.
Accommodations are lodge style with two women per room. Price is $280 which includes lodging, food, devotion times, and 5-6 crafts per person. All materials and tools will be provided.
